Chelsea Flower Show: ten minutes from Mayfair, and a boot cleared for the plants you carry home

BACK MAY 2027Chelsea 2026 has closed. Next show is 18 to 22 May 2027, members' days first; we take bookings from the new year.

The shape of the day

Built around the gates opening, when the gardens are quiet, and the boot, which is the real reason to bring a car.

8:15 AMWe collect you in town. Ten minutes from Mayfair, which is the whole appeal. We aim for the gates as they open, before the crowds.
8:40 AMSet down at the gate. London Gate on Royal Hospital Road, or Bull Ring Gate off the Embankment, a five minute walk. The car cannot wait here, so we drop and clear.
9:00 AMThe gardens, early and quiet. Members' mornings are the time to actually see the show gardens, before the shoulder-to-shoulder hours.
1:00 PMWe come back on a call. No idling in SW3; we hold nearby and return to your gate when you are ready.
4:00 PMThe Great Plant Sell Off. Saturday's finale, when the stands sell their plants and you leave carrying them. This is when the car earns its keep.
5:30 PMHome, boot full. Trees, roses, whatever you bought; none of it was ever going on the tube.
↑ ten minutes from Mayfair, and the boot is the point. plants don't go on the tube.

How we prepare

WHEN YOU BOOK

We ask what you mean to carry home, because that decides the car. On members' mornings it is a light run in; on the Saturday sell off it is a boot cleared for trees and roses. We aim you at the gate as it opens, when the show gardens are still yours to see.

THE DAY BEFORE

Gate confirmed, London Gate on Royal Hospital Road or Bull Ring Gate off the Embankment, and you are reminded the car cannot sit at either. Road closures around the Royal Hospital are checked, and the run is short enough that timing, not distance, is the whole game.

WHILE YOU ARE THERE

We drop and clear, then come back on a call. No idling in SW3, where the parking suspends and the clamping starts at seven; we hold nearby and return to your gate when you are ready, boot empty and waiting.

Honestly, though

Sloane Square is ten minutes on foot. For a simple midday visit the tube is often quicker than Chelsea's traffic. Where the car genuinely pays is the members' morning arrival and the Saturday sell off, when you are carrying plants no one wants on the Underground.

We drop, we do not park. SW3 gives us nowhere to wait, so this is a set-down and a booked return, not a car on standby at the kerb. It works beautifully; it just is not a limousine idling outside all day.

for show week

Tell us the day and roughly what you plan to carry home, and we will plan the drop, the gate and a boot big enough, with a fixed price.
